Learning and Responsibility

‘Because only through learning and education could the instrumental value named responsibility be created, i.e. understanding about the importance of personal behaviour, about the connection between personal efforts and satisfaction of needs, and the realization of necessity of mutual support, i.e. global responsibility.’ (Forfatterne, 2004).

I found this quote that I thought weren't perfectly within my dissertation. When I interview Anikka Stott, she said that they key was learning and education and behaviour change. It's true that food waste is a global responsibility and we must all take responsibility for our actions though personal efforts. In order to do this, society must be educated about the issue and learn what they can do to prevent this. 

I think this quote really backs up what Anikka was saying.
