I then thought about making something that represent women in a positive light. I started researching in the women that had changed the world or had done something amazing. for example, the first the sale solo around the world, the first woman in space or the first female pilot. 

My first idea was to draw a series of illustrations just of these amazing women. Just a series of portraits. I thought this would work well and I was happy with my initial drawings. However, I worried it wouldn't link back to my essay very well and that people might not be able to recognize them

I thought about having small illustrations around them that would link them to what it was they did. For example the first female pilot would have plane around her. 

I really liked the lose drawing style in this sketches and the way I added a bit of colour.

Here I've tried drawing in a more characterised approach but still keeping the loose line work. I liked this little sketch I think if I drew this way it could be quite fun but I'm not sure I'm very good at character design.
